It’s amazing how much copy ads from the old days crammed in. Most modern ads are written and designed on the idea that readers don’t have the attention span for anything that takes more than about five seconds to read. Think along the lines of “Raid kills bugs dead.” These days, the mantra is usually “cut the copy and make the logo bigger.” (See, now I’m qualified to be an Art Director!) In addition, the typesetting is pretty wretched – that break in “distribution” would get a modern agency crucified! Totally awesome nonetheless. A large version of this belongs on your garage wall. Thanks for sharing.
